Principal Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products as well as re-design and develop current products.
• Determine root-cause failure and than design and develop appropriate solutions.
• Communicate with the plants, OEMs, end users and suppliers to resolve issues and to introduce new or re-designed products.
• Continuously work to improve technical and interpersonal skills and engineering processes.
• Organize, lead and champion projects.
• Produce cost effective designs or obtain cost effective solutions to resolve issues.
• Conduct project review meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, Masters degree preferred. 5-10 years industry experience
• Heavy vehicle or off-highway drive train design experience is required, gear design experience desired
• CAE, FEA, and APQP, are desired
• Proficient PC literacy, interpersonal skills, product knowledge, planning skills, company structure, leadership skills, creative problem solving, project leadership.
• Must have the ability to travel
