You will unleash the potential of your talents as never before.Key Responsibilities:* Lead specification and procurement of LDD manufacturing system controls strategy and selection.* Actively participate in the RFA and RFQ processes. * Participate in the development of key controls engineering systems such as: Networking, MES, option level failsafing, assembly diagnostics, distributed machine control* Actively participate with functional test and inprocess verification development for both LDD assembly and suppliers* Provide Controls Engineering support for all of assembly, test, and up fit areas.* Optimize assembly line uptime to minimize people per engine per day.* Optimize first time quality by working with the DFMA leader/suppliers/assembly line in order to design quality into the assembly process.* Evaluate current facilities for opportunities for improvement as well as benchmark world class facilities for best in practice ideas/solutions/alternatives in order to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.* Lead development of the software change control process* Design, develop and set up world class methods and processes for the LDD program.* Act as an integrated team member of the manufacturing assembly team.* Evaluate and assist with capacity and staffing planning activities.* Act as a team member in defining and utilizing a world class team based work system environment Skills: * BS/MS degree in Engineering and 7 years in a technical role * Competent PLC and networking skills. * Good understanding of data acquisition and control* Knowledge of IC engines* Understanding of Functional and Component Test Systems and the Equipment Supplier Industry* Experience in Assembly Line design/purchase/installation, Systemic Problem solving, Equipment layout, Project management and plant layout. * The experience to manage capital and expense budgets to section targets. * The ability to lead on a team with all levels of the organization and on cross-functional teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication with a working knowledge of basic tools such as Pareto Analysis, FMEA, CMEA, MQV as well as six sigma.Benefits/Company information:Explore superior growth opportunities and enjoy progressive advantages like our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, stock options, Domestic Partners coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
