Operations Managment Trainee
The Copart Leadership Development Program is a program designed to recruit recent college and university graduates and train them in operations management leading to a management assignment in 18 months and a General Manager position in 3 to 5 years. The program begins January 12 4-week classroom training program will be conducted in Fairfield, California, at the Copart Headquarters The training will continue at one of the 130 locations in the US for a 17-month rotational assignment to perform all of the operations functions under the mentoring of the location’s General Manager. The typical rotation will include jobs such as yard agent, receiver, loader operator, customer service representative, billing and imaging, dispatcher, and title processing, yard manager, and office manager. This rotational program will be supplemented with periodic leadership and operational training sessions conducted at headquarters in California. Upon successful completion of the first 18 months you will be assigned as the Assistant General Manager position at a larger yard and mentored by a General Manager for one year to prepare you to take on your own location with full responsibility as General Manager.
