 Our client, a manufacturer of metal component parts, is seeking a Materials Manager for their plant staff near Versailles Missouri. 

Reporting to the plant manager, the Materials Manager will have full management responsibilities for the materials organization in two plants including:Production planning and schedulingPurchasing of raw materials and component partsSupplier selection and qualificationSourcing of purchased servicesWarehousing, shipping and receivingSupervision of staff

 

The Materials Manager is a vital position in the organization and is particularly well-suited for the individual who is ready to take the next major step up in a materials management career.

 

 RequirementsBS degree in a manufacturing related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience5-7 years of materials management experience in a manufacturing facility including 2-3 years of supervisory experienceFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and approachExperienced with procurement of metal alloys in bar stock formFamiliarity with outsourcing of CNC machining is a strong plusKnowledge of ISO 9001 requirements is a strong plus
