Master Scheduler - Automotive

An international truck manufacturer in Allentown, PA is currently looking for a Master Scheduler.

Job Description:

Optimize the utilization of the test department resources, including personnel, vehicles and test rigs, to efficiently meet commitments for vehicle builds and testing.

Develop and maintain short and long term schedules for the resources, taking into account the priorities of various projects and availability of resources and material.

Work in close cooperation with the Order Office, the receiving function for test requests, project managers, test engineers/managers, workshop supervisor and chief engineer.

Provide input to operational analysis, capacity and manpower planning.

Work in accordance with 3P processes, the Client's Way and 3P Values and Behaviors.

Skills/Education Needed:

BS/BA in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering or other business discipline or equivalent experience.

1-2 years experience working with production scheduling/planning and materials management in an automotive/trucking environment is preferred.

Prior user experience with SAP or similar ERP software packages.

Understanding of materials management practices and principals.

We prefer candidates with APICS certification, knowledge of safety, environmental and industrial excellence/lean concepts and work experience within a global organization or function.

Fluent in English, solid communication and analytical skills. Team player.
