Manager - Commercial Dealer Operations
Responsible for sales volume targets established by the corporate office for assigned area of responsibility. Targets to be achieved through both wholesale and retail channels. Manages the market activities for assigned dealerships. Requires strong, proven interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, and long term commitment to ensure Nissan is viewed as a valued business partner with our dealers and customers.1. Calls and visits the dealerships in the assigned area of responsibility. Dealer responsibilities include but not limited to the following:• Work with dealership on a market plan for their A.O.R. (Area of Responsibility)• Monitor and measure performance of dealer to Nissan Fleet and Commercial Dealer Addendum Requirements.• Work with dealership on obtaining wholesale and retail objectives for commercial product line.• Make direct customer contacts in conjunction with the dealer’s dedicated commercial sales force.• Meet with dealer principal and/or general manager on every dealer visit.• Assist dealership with local marketing activities including appropriate trade shows and events.2. Responsible for the commercial market representation activities including the appointment of new commercial dealers. Requires coordination with market representation and the regional offices. Further requires assisting proposed dealership with business plan and adherence to the fleet and commercial new dealer requirements.3. Manage the bailment pool/upffiter relationships within area of responsibility. Includes assisting the corporate office with the appointment of new bailment pools and managing the wholesale and overall effectiveness of existing assigned pools.4. Provide updates on commercial market activities to the Nissan regional sales offices on a periodic basis. Notify appropriate DOMs of any major conflicts or opportunities with shared dealers.5. Support the corporate and regional offices on any National programs or activities that impact assigned dealers including wholesale and retail initiatives.6. Support and assist the NMAC commercial lending managers on any commercial lending programs or activities. Make joint contacts with the NMAC reps when appropriate.7. Support and assist the commercial fleet account managers as required including assisting with dealer related issues.8. Interface with the fleet order administration department on all dealer related issues including distribution and administration.9. Manage program budgets, activity, and policy for assigned area including but not limited to any national demonstrator programs, bailment demonstrator programs, co-op advertising programs, and special promotional activities.10. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.11. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representativeMinimum Qualifications:1. Experience:Five or more years of directly related professional level Marketing experience.2. Supervisory Experience:Two or more years in a support supervisory role, providing leadership, coaching, guidance and training and contributing to staff development.3. Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related Marketing discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.4. Computer Skills:Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including but not limited to WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT. Proficient in running POLK registrations and associated data.1. Travel:Frequent travel.2. Area Of Responsibility:Commercial Operations Manager to manage 20 to 35 dealerships within a centric geographic area.Qualifications1.
