Job Description Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA) Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA) is the alignment of Toyota's North American R&D and manufacturing operations, joining the operations, planning and technical functions. Established in April 2006, TEMA strengthens Toyota's North American customer focus, through improved supplier cooperation, overall speed, flexibility and attention to quality. TEMA headquarters in Erlanger, KY, house the Toyota Operations Center and the Toyota Planning Center. The main offices for the Toyota Technical Center are in Ann Arbor, MI. This position is in the Powertrain Testing group of the Powertrain Certification & Test Engineering (PCTE) department, located in Ann Arbor, MI. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Perform weekly, monthly and annual calibrations of emission related equipment as dictated by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Toyota standards. Support project management for emission facility planning including equipment installation, scope of work (SOW) requirements and maintenance. Perform Vehicle Emission Test System (VETS) software calculations and revisions. Create/update shift files and driving traces. Create/update procedures and check sheets as required. Support exhaust, evaporative, certification and in-use vehicle program (IUVP) testing. Write and publish test reports. Associate degree in an automotive related field or equivalent preferred. 5+ years of emission equipment calibration and maintenance preferred. Experience with Horiba equipment a plus. 2+ years of emission facility equipment installation. Project support a plus. Familiarity with variable temp (VT) and on-road vapor recovery (ORVR) shed operation. Strong evaluation and problem solving skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, intermediate skill preferred. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
