Maintenance Assistant Manager

 Job Description

Develops and maintains programs that ensure quality production operations, support facility safety and continuous improvement.  This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.  Additional duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electrical power, gas or air, required for operations.

2. Directs preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance on critical equipment.

3. Directs and coordinates maintenance staff in day to day activities on plant floor, building grounds and utility systems of the plant.

4. Reviews job orders and determines work priorities. Schedules repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment to insure continuous productions operations.

5. Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies required for operations.

6. Ensures proper operation of equipment.

7. Supports Kaizen and other related activities.

 Qualifications

The qualifications of the successful candidate are the following:  

1. 3+ years of maintenance supervision experience.

2. Bachelor’s degree in business management or industrial maintenance preferred.

3. 3+ years experience of hands on PLC programming and control panel assembly along with electrical experience is required.

4. Automotive industry experience

5. Equipment design/construction

6. Understanding of proper process flow 

7. Experience in a QS9000 and continuous improvement environmentCompensation and Benefits

The base compensation is between $50,000 to $55,000. The company offers an outstanding benefit program that includes medical, dental, 401K, etc and relocation assistance is available.
