MECHANICAL TEST ENGINEER

The Springfield Tennessee facility has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Test Engineer

 

This position will provide technical support to the Engineering Test Lab and Engineering Teams in the development and deployment of prototype samples and mechanical test systems.

 

The successful candidate will hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years experience in prototype and fixture development with a strong electro-mechanical aptitude. Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 is preferred.  Must be proficient in Solid Works and Esprit software, and other CAD/CAM applications. This individual must have a high level ability to operate machine shop equipment such as lathe, mill, surface grinder, welder, etc. including CNA programming, be proficient in Visual Basic and/or Lab View. This position will recommend design changes to the products based on manufacturability and provide root cause analysis of a mechanical nature.
