Cummins Engine Business Unit, based in Columbus, IN, is currently seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Supply Chain Leader to serve in the role of Logistics Manager in our Global Headquarters.Responsibilities include:- Drive improvements with key business partners- Lead logistics improvements - Lead or participate in new business initiatives- Maintain strong relationships with plant logistics teams- Deliver annual cost savings targets- Support other Business Units on best practices- Participate in regular contract negotiations- Develop and maintain business processes for containing/controlling logistics issues Education/Experience Required:- Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree a plus- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management,preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment- APICS certification a strong plusSkills Required:- Experience in supplier development; leading process improvements.- Strong project management and analytical/problem solving skills with demonstrated skill to scope and analyze cross-functional problems and generate/implement solutions- Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and appropriate automation- Thorough understanding of supply chain metrics and methods for target setting - Ability to institutionalize metrics-driven driven reviews and continuous improvement programs - Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean operations Cummins is an Equal Opportunity Employer
