Job Category: Logistics/Transportation Relevant Work Experience: 1+ to 2 Years Career Level: Entry Level Occupations: General/Other: Logistics/Transportation Industry: Automotive and Parts Mfg;Transport and Storage - Materials Reference Code: 103 Logistics Engineer The Logistics Engineer is responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management, or Industrial Engineering or eight years equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 (three) years of related experience is required. Advanced Level Skills in MS Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text. Advanced Level Skills in MS Project such as importing and exporting data to and from your project, connection to a Project Server, setting multiple project baselines, customizing columns in a table, creating custom views and reports, PERT analysis and project tracking, and maintaining project budget compliance. Advanced Level Skills in MS Visio such as creating Visio diagrams, creating custom styles and templates, cross functional flow charts, linking drawings to other MS applications, working with data, custom reports, and exporting Experience with Transportation Analysis Tools (i2 Tmod, ILPS) Experience with Visual Basic Admin. (VBA)/Sequential Query Language (SQL) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Mapping analysis tools, preferred. Applicant must have excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office, with strong Access skills, is necessary. Complex routing software experience is preferred (ie CAPS, Agillence, i2 Modeler, etc.). Experience in the automotive industry and working with multiple customers is also preferred. This job requires, but is not limited to, the following: proven track record of finding and implementing savings, experience manipulating and utilizing FBAP data in analysis, and the ability to perform utilization analysis based on packaging dimensions, weight, and demand.
