 Load Tester / Performance Testing Engineer

The Load Testing Analyst ensures ongoing and optimal system performance through testing, analysis and reporting of load testing scenarios, and provides consultation to the technology team to resolve issues and proactively reduce production incidents.


Key Responsibilities: Designs and develops application performance load tests based on application requirementsRecords, parameterizes and debugs LoadRunner scriptsDesigns and sets up test scenarios in the ControllerPrepares test data and conducts performance load test executionAnalyzes and assesses performance risks through load test resultsMonitors test results and reports using analysis toolsAssists systems, database and network teams to quantify their capacity needs proactively based on analysisActs as a performance consultant to the technology and development teamsMakes recommendations on application designDocuments test procedures, analysis and resultsProposes and implements process improvementPerforms other duties as requiredTravel: < 10%

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledgeable in automated application testing and application performance testing concepts in a Windows based environmentKnowledge of commercial load testing tools, specifically HP LoadrunnerKnowledge of LR functions, a plusProficient in some or all of the following: C++, xml, .net codingStrong analytical skillsAbility to identify performance issues in applicationsExcellent communication skillsAbility to be successful in a fast paced environment with multiple and changing prioritiesWorks well within a team based environment

Required Education and Experience:



·  Bachelors degree in a related field or the equivalent in experience

·  3-5 years of automated testing experience
