Laser Specialist

Duties and responsibilities:

 

As a Specialist in laser processing of metals:

Provides technical support to marketing and field sales organizations. Acts as a liaison with application and research centers as well as appropriate external research and professional organizations.

Specifies technical solutions for customer process issues. Promotes and presents new technologies to customers or potential customers.

Prepares detailed internal costs/benefits value based proposals for new products and applications. Coordinates and conducts in plant development activities. Performs statistical analysis of customer process data and application results. Designs and performs laser cutting demonstrations and testing for new applications.

Maintains superior technical industry expertise by attending relevant internal and external meetings, seminars, and trade shows, and by preparing and presenting papers describing relevant technology developments related to laser material processing.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum of 3 years industrial manufacturing experience in metal fabrication with industrial lasers (laser cutting, laser welding, laser drilling…)
 
Excellent written, verbal, presentation skills, including the ability to effectively interface with various levels of management within the customers operations.

Competent in general data handling techniques, and in use of personal computer for common business software applications.

High flexibility, strong initiative, cooperative, positive mental attitude.

Minimum education degree required: BS in engineering

 

Prefered Location: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania.
