LCV Manager - Truck and Chassis Cab
• Functions as a primary contact and product expert for model lines comprising the all-new LCV units being developed for all product and marketing issues.• Develops and implements marketing plans designed to achieve sales, profitability and brand initiative objectives for assigned models.• Manages multiple complex contracts and derivatives of specific LCV vehicles.• Responsible for development and execution of regulatory/ training issues for LCV units, including development/implementation of NNA’s strategy to meet mandated governmental retail volumes, technician training, dealership facility requirements, special tools requirements. Utilizes an understanding of environmental battery disposal issues, where applicable.• Develops and implements marketing positioning statements. Identifies target consumer audiences and consumer benefits to be communicated about the models.• Develops strategic briefing communications for consumer audiences. Clarifies market position, consumer benefits, and targeted audiences for all advertising, marketing and merchandising messages. Works with employees in related functions to ensure all advertising, marketing and merchandising messages meet the requirements outlined in the strategic brief.• Develops new launch plans for the introduction of new products. Plans and leads internal functional groups and vendor resources to achieve launch objectives.• Develops pricing and production mix strategies. Coordinates vehicle production and distribution to ensure appropriate model and trim level mix.• Develops and maintains lifecycle expense analysis by vehicle, combining current and future carflow plans, incentive charts, market trends, advertising budgets, product enhancements and competitive actions.• Develops and implements promotions, and contest/incentive plans to support sales and profitability of assigned vehicles. Negotiates mutual opportunities with non-automotive consumer companies to create vehicle sales and marketing promotions as a part of larger campaigns.• Develops and prepares key model line presentations for executive management and divisional business meetings.• Possess a strong understanding of marketing principals, concepts, practices and an exceptional knowledge of industry practices. Ability to plan, schedule and manage large projects to implementation and make decisions independently. Strategic thinking skills required. Ability to manage multiple contracts and derivates of assigned model line. Independent decision-making ability is crucial. Strong understanding of budget management and ability to communicate effectively with executive management and the press.• Ten or more years of related experience at a professional level, including experience working with cross-functional team members developing business plans to achieve objectives. Broad experience combining multiple areas within Nissan and/or the industry including regional operations, product planning, marketing research, pricing, vehicle operations/distribution, sales operations, and brand management.• A bachelor's degree in a related field. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.• Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications, etc. to produce non-standard, creative products.Qualifications• Possess a strong understanding of marketing principals, concepts, practices and an exceptional knowledge of industry practices.
