Summary: 

Overall strategy and management includes leading and directing project execution in the development and manufacture of automotive aftermarket parts through our suppliers in India. Maintains competitive advantage by improving, expediting, and maximizing the development processes, manufacturing operations, and effectiveness of selected suppliers.

 

Description:

■ Partners with supplier to produce products that meet RRP expectations by developing and improving production and engineering processes, procedures, methods and techniques.

 

■ Manage inspection and quality assurance standards with selected suppliers.

 

■ Provide supply chain leadership to ensure expectations are met relative to delivery, quality, cost and inventory targets.

 

■ Support the negotiation and supplier selection process to facilitate production / purchase objectives.

 

■ Lead interaction between suppliers and RRP Engineering to drive total cost productivity through concise and clear specifications that meet identified requirements.

 

■ Participate in the selection of suppliers in support of company objectives, goals and strategies.

 

■ Manage suppliers to ensure design compliance and schedule compliance.

 

 

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, Masters degree a plus, along with at least ten years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and quality management (automotive preferred but not required). Machining knowledge and experience preferred.

 

Candidate must be extremely driven and able to achieve desired results. This is a hands-on operations position and not an office position. This position requires strong communication skills both oral and written and the ability to successfully interact with suppliers, taking care to balance professional relationships with firm expectations between company and the manufacturer / supplier.
