You will unleash the potential of your talents as never before.A new Industrial Machine Integration group has been formed within Industrial Application Engineering this presents an exciting opportunity for a Cooling System Integration Specialist / Engineer.This new position will provide tremendous opportunities to demonstrate vehicle cooling technical expertise within off-highway, construction or industrial equipment, to meet Cummins and OEM's installation guidelines. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years experience of designing and integrating cooling systems into vehicles or industrial equipment.Key Responsibilities:The focus will be to develop totally inclusive cooling systems which may include; CAC, Radiator, Hydraulic Cooler, Transmission Oil Cooler, Fuel Cooler, A/C Condenser, etc; Utilizing engine driven fan and/or auxiliary driven fan systems. The position will involve working with many cross functional and cross cultural teams within Cummins, with our OEMS, and also our suppliers on multiple concurrent projects. The group will focus on the integration of Tier4 solutions and develop collaborative relationships with our industrial OEMs though practical demonstration of concept installations. Teamwork is a key attribute for this position, including customer and supplier contact and interaction.Industrial Machine Integration will provide the opportunity to be involved with the design and development of engine and vehicle sub-systems and components both mechanical and electronic to integrate the best performance, efficiency and cost. The scope of the projects will vary depending upon the specific OEM and equipment; The typically process may be;* Develop Project Scope* Design* Design review with OEM* Source prototype parts* Receive vehicle* Baseline testing* Engine Installation* Installation review including performance testing* Return vehicle to OEM* Tech report and update / develop AEB's and vehicle installation best practices Skills:* B.S.M.E/B.S.E.E or equivalent experience * Strong analytical ability, especially in physics, dynamics, and thermodynamics* 3-5+ yrs experience designing / integrating cooling systems into automobiles, trucks, or industrial equipment. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Demonstrated team interaction skills * Technical writing and presentation* Analytical Skills* Knowledge of Cummins products would be an advantage* Application of engineering theory to the solution of practical engineering problems * Test experience: engine and/or vehicle.
