Implementation Engineer II Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division, is a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services with 5.5 million licensed seats and 51,000 customers worldwide.Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Siemens PLM Software’s open enterprise solutions enable a world where organizations and their partners collaborate through Global Innovation Networks to deliver world-class products and services.Support all implementation activities of the Siemens Tecnomatix toolset for process planning and verification in the areas of stamping and data acquisition in general at customer site. Work with the currently on-site Siemens team to provide a focal point of contact for the manufacturing engineer and subject matter expert community to support the creation and rollout of methods and tools, and the ongoing process improvement and user ramp up activities.Specific projects in the areas mentioned above include, but are not limited to: • Support the implementation of method for the transition of the stamping user community from metaphase to Teamcenter, including the supplier collaboration • Support the stamping user community utilizing Catia Manager for die design • Support the definition of tools and processes for stamping processes and validation in Teamcenter • Provide ongoing methods support for the manufacturing and virtual manufacturing engineer community for data acquisition processesGeneral responsibilities of the implementation leader include: • Provide a single point of contact to the customers user community for all Siemens implementation activities • Capture expected use cases and workflows to support the development of process improvements and ensure correct utilization of new and existing tools • Capture user requirements for new tool development and monitor progress on activities related specifically for the user community • Define and document methods and work instruction documents to support the use of the toolset for process planning and verification for the user community. • Provide on-site methods support for user community to help the ramp up of new users and the competence of existing users. Such on-site methods support may include tips and techniques documentation and communication, one-on-one on-the-job-training to answer user questions, feedback loop closure on issues reported by users and other activities as will be defined with the customer • Identify and document new opportunities for tools and process improvement in the stamping area and die construction community, and follow up on such opportunities as applicable. • Participate and/or lead project related meetings and continuously work to communicate project activities and status to the customer and Siemens management • Identify project issues, document issues and escalate as appropriate • Collaborate with other Siemens and/or contractor engineers that are working on-site to support the implementation activities of tools and processes in the user community REQUIREMENTS:• Automotive background: automotive industry experience with specific focus on processes in stamping and die construction in large automotive OEM companies • Engineering background, familiar with manufacturing processes • PLM concepts: understanding of PLM concepts - specifically change management and enterprise collaboration; experience in requirements gathering, outlining development specifications and prioritizing development objectives.Skills Required: • Strong expertise in Teamcenter engineering, data management, Catia Manager, pressline simulation • Managing projects; integrity and customer orientation • Technical documentation: ability to create highly-detailed and clear customer-facing documents such as methods documentation, work instructions, training material and other such documentation • Excellent communication skills, experience with continuous communication with product organization, customer care awareness, proven experience in business-orientated presentations; ability to clearly explain complex concepts to average users and to train users in performing complex tasks Siemens PLM Software is an equal opportunity employer and values the diversity of its people.
