Graduate Level - Hybrid Powertrain Systems Controls and Calibration EngineersSeeking Engineers with Graduate Level Degrees (Masters and/or PhD grads with relevant research/internship/co-ops) for Hybrid Powertrain Systems Development in the following areas: Hybrid Transmission Controls and Calibration Hybrid Operating Strategy Controls and Calibration Hybrid Diagnostics & Torque Security Controls and Calibration Electric Motor Controls and Calibration Regenerative Braking System Controls and Calibration HEV Torque based Controls and Calibration HEV Energy Management System Controls and Calibration Vehicle Systems Integration Software Integration in Model Based EnvironmentThe challenges within the next year timeframe are to complete the development and validation of current Hybrid system and develop the next generation Hybrids for Chrysler LLCRequired Qualifications: Major required: Master’s Degree in ME, EE, Controls, Systems Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or Applied Physics from an ABET accredited university Computer Science and Computer Engineering degrees acceptable for certain positions Must have practical experience (internship, co-op, research, industry) working with one of the following: Hybrid Torque control Hybrid system calibration  PowerTrain Controls Powertrain calibration Engine calibration Transmission calibration Driveablity Hybrid Transmission Controls and Calibration Hybrid Operating Strategy Controls and Calibration Hybrid Diagnostics & Torque Security Controls and Calibration Electric Motor Controls and Calibration Regenerative Braking System Controls and Calibration HEV Torque based Controls and Calibration HEV Energy Management System Controls and Calibration Vehicle Systems Integration Software Integration in Model Based Environment Automotive Emissions Control OBDPreferred Qualifications: PhD in above majors Any practical work experience / internships in the area of Control Systems Hybrid Systems and/or Hybrid Vehicle experience preferredOther Requirements: A well organized team player A quick learner capable of learning new technology Advanced Data Acquisition and Analysis Skills, ETAS-INCA Model based tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK Knowledge of Hardware In the Loop systems Automotive systems knowledge Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) suite Expected travel to assembly plants and development road trips, a maximum of 4 to 6 weeks per yearCompensation:The ideal candidate can anticipate a competitive and attractive salary and benefit packageLocation: Hybrid Development Center in Troy, Michigan
