Freight Claims Administrator The primary responsibility of a Freight Claim Administrator is to recover funds for product lost or damaged by Navistar's dealer network as well as Navistar's internal and external customers. This position requires filing claim paperwork, researching current contracts in order to debate and overturn carrier decisions, entering claims into a database, researching the data, and running queries within multiple programs. In addition, position requires excellent customer service skills as this position has extensive contact with multiple commercial carriers and internal customers utilizing the phone, fax and e-mail. Applicants must be professional, organized and able to meet deadlines under a high volume workload. HS Diploma or GED At least 2 years of transportation, customer service or operations experience Minimal travel of 5% may be required The candidate placed in this position will be ineligible to apply for any other positions within the company for two years following the date of placement, unless approved by his or her manager Desired Skills: Positive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company's values, and a healthy, high performance culture Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree Knowledge of freight claims process, EZ Claims software package Overall automotive/truck product knowledge and or experience in transportation Strong customer service, analytical, independent, and decision making skills Sound communication skills both written and verbal Ability to interpret various transportation documents including BOL (Bill of Lading), Exception Reports, POD (Proof of Delivery), Etc. Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office products) and experience with TOLAS and WMS (ERP systems) Knowledge of PDC Operations and systems Ability to establish working relationships with various internal and external disciplines Visit us at www.Navistar.com to discover more about our organization.
