We currently have the following outstanding opportunity available: Field Technology Service Provider The Information Systems Department is looking for a Field Technology Service Provider (FTSP) to join the Toyota Technology Field Operations (TTFO) team at the New York Toyota Regional Office located in West Caldwell, NJ. The FTSP is a developing technical contributor, producing work with management guidance. Associates in this position possess a working knowledge of one or more technologies to run, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the mainframe, servers, desktops/laptops and networks. The primary focus of the FTSP is to provide a reliable technical infrastructure to serve the region / area sales office, which includes technologies, systems, servers, networks, applications, data architectures, capacity planning and configuration management. The FTSP is responsible for providing daily onsite and offsite technology support for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying technologies. In addition, the FTSP is responsible for onsite and offsite phone support and provides level 2 support to the TMS IS Service Desk. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Technical Support • Identify, locate, isolate and resolve or repair basic to medium-complexity problems relating to computers, communications devices, systems, cables and other equipment for 1 to 3 offices. • Leverage the major capabilities of the primary diagnostic tools and analyzers available. • Bring problems and issues to resolution and completion; notify Region / Area offices of problems that may affect others. • Escalate unresolved problems in a timely manner. Development of Technical Infrastructure • Understand the design and purpose of the software being installed. • Utilize detailed design defined by senior associate to build, upgrade or install infrastructure solution. • Perform quality check; ensure upgrade / installation efforts are completed according to IS standards and procedures. • Analyze and resolve basic problems that may arise during build of technical infrastructure. Engineering and Standards. • The ability to assess the impact of policy and IT issues on the local office and make appropriate decisions. Communications and Team Work • Provide group and individual deskside and classroom training. • Possess and utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to express technical concepts in business terms and/or business concepts in technical terms. • Develop and maintain teamwork orientation with individuals internal to and external to IS. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience. • 2 or more years progressive broad-based IS experience. • 2 or more years of detailed knowledge of the system architecture of the entire business area including business system / applications, networks, servers, platforms and databases. • Ability to identify, locate, isolate and resolve or repair difficult problems relating to compute, communication devices, systems, cables and other equipment within the scope of specialty. • Understanding of all TMS IS procedures within the scope of specialty, including how to address and effectively communicate with management and associates both verbally and in writing. • Microsoft Certified Professional (Windows XP) and Certified Computing preferred.
