Facilities Planner/Scheduler (Chicago area) Melrose Park, IL

The Facilities Planner/Scheduler will support the Facilities Technical Team in meeting and exceeding expectations in the areas of Safety, Ergonomics, Quality, Productivity and drive results by insuring Planned Maintenance is performed properly, effectively, and on a timely basis. Continuous improvements will be driven through root cause analysis in order to meet and exceed machine uptime goals. Your role will be to schedule all facilities work performed in assigned area, eliminating in advance potential work delays and obstacles, through proper planning and coordination of parts, equipment availability and manpower. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering or Business or at least 3 years Planning, Scheduling or Maintenance Supervisory experience Additional Requirements: • Capable of working any shifts as needed. • Good computer skills (Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, MS Project or similar etc.) • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Understand and interpret complex machine drawings, blueprints and repair manuals • Adequate knowledge of skilled trade crafts to estimate man-hours and materials   Desired Skills: • 3 years experience in planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment • Experience with Access, PP • Experience with a CMMS - Avantis Pro a plus • AutoCAD - view, print and manipulate documents • Positive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company's values and a healthy, high performance culture. • Strong communication skills, including ability and willingness to listen • Ability and willingness to confront and resolve conflict/basic supervisory skills in union environment Visit us at www.Navistar.com to discover more about our organization.
