Engineering Operations Development Program - New Grad (Rotation) Entry Level Training Program

NAVISTAR- has created a new opportunity for top college graduates who want to become top performers within our organization. In the Engineering Operations Development Program (EODP), you will gain a broad understanding of NAVISTAR's Engine Operations Group over a two-year period. You will accomplish this by completing 3-5 rotations through areas such as Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), Assembly and its supporting operations, Trades, Machining and Foundry Operations. You'll interact with suppliers, customers, and employees at all levels including supervising a team of employees for at least 6 months. You'll have opportunities to work at our World Class Manufacturing Facilities throughout North America (Melrose Park, Indianapolis Engine and Casting, AME and Huntsville, AL). As an EODP participant, you'll have many opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in your future career, creating a competitive advantage not only for yourself, but also for International. This program will start in June 2009. You won't be alone. Before you begin, you'll be paired with a peer sponsor who is a current high-performance employee with similar interests to help you learn the ropes, build contacts and become acclimated. What you will learn. Production Operations: When rotating through Production Operations at one of our Manufacturing facilities, you'll focus on understanding the entire production process from assembly to shipping. You will also supervisor a group of employees for at least 6 months. Foundry Operations: When rotating through our Foundry Operations, you'll experience the birth of our product from iron being poured to a complete block ready to ship to one of our plants. AME: When rotating through our AME facility, you'll focus on understanding the product change process and the importance of cross-functional design input. Machining: When rotating through Machining at one of our Manufacturing facilities, you'll focus on understanding the product flow from rough steel or iron to a finished product. Trades: A Trades rotation at one of our manufacturing facilities will expose you to the fundamentals of keeping the facility up and running and understanding the importance of uptime. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or General Business ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Positive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company's values, and a healthy, high performance culture Be able to relocate for rotation to 3 locations - Indianapolis, IN; Melrose Park, IL and Huntsville, AL Be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis Must have prior internship, co-op or work related experience.
