Job Description   Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA)   Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA) is the alignment of Toyota's North American R&D and manufacturing operations, joining the operations, planning and technical functions.  Established in April 2006, TEMA strengthens Toyota's North American customer focus, through improved supplier cooperation, overall speed, flexibility and attention to quality.  TEMA headquarters in Erlanger, KY, house the Toyota Operations Center and the Toyota Planning Center.  The main offices for the Toyota Technical Center are in Ann Arbor, MI.  This position is in the Model Based Development group of the Powertrain Calibration (PTC) department, located in Ann Arbor, MI.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Develop engineering information management systems for model based control system development. Define and develop engine modeling methodologies to support control system development. Participate in engine modeling and control development projects. Provide internal written and oral reports according to Toyota standards. Publish technical papers and articles and represent Toyota Technical Center at technical meetings and conferences. Host visiting Toyota Engineers and Scientists.  Demonstrated results in the engine control and engine modeling domains. Demonstrated experience with model based engine control development. Master's Degree or Ph.D. in related discipline. Excellent leadership and verbal / written communication skills. Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
