Embedded Software Engineer Design and development of embedded software for diesel engine controls, with focus on operating systems and basic input/output software. Responsible for specifying commercially available operating systems, design and development of embedded software for the Navistar ECM software, validation of O/S software, and development of quality procedures and process. B.S. Technical degree with 5 years Engineering experience; OR M.S. with thesis in core competency; OR Ph.D. in general area of core competency without experience. - Fluent with Microsoft Office programs - 2 years experience in embedded software operating systems and BIOS (basic input/output software), including module flashing/programming. - 10 to 25% travel to suppliers and customer sites, and engineering development trips.
