ESS Electrical/Electronics TechnicianDescription: Opportunity to work for an aggressive, well-funded start-up in the San Francisco Bay Area that sells high-performance, highly efficient electric sports cars. Volt Technical Resources is seeking enthusiastic, safety conscious individuals to become part of a technically strong, fast-moving team that prides itself on superior execution. Requirements: Candidate will support the development of large scale battery packs by fabricating, assembling, and testing prototype components and systems.Experience with high voltage systems and high current systems is required.Experience with battery systems is desirable.Strong mechanical aptitude required.Responsibilities: Build & Repair battery productsTroubleshoot electronics from system to PCB board levelHandling and lifting heavy objectsRequired Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Prototype assembly methodsSmall hand tool use for mechanical assembly of circuits, cables, and systemsUse of multimeterProficiency with Windows including the use of such programs as email, word processing and spreadsheet toolsExperience in electronic and mechanical parts specificationsExperience in reading and interpreting electronic circuit and/or mechanical drawingsExperience in following detailed process instructionsExperience creating detailed process instructions a plus.Crimping and Soldering skills.Physical Demands: Above average manual dexterity. Must be able lift heavy objects, as some sub assemblies must be installed in or removed from the ESS enclosure.Work Environment: The typical hazards associated with the testing and repair of electronic circuits and systems are present, including exposure to AC power and high voltage systems.At Volt Technical Resources, we connect talented people with respected companies.
