This includes managing in-depth analysis of the chosen designs and FMEA. ·  Improve work processes and tools toward achieving cycle time, cost, and quality goals.·  Managing the bench and vehicle testing including at customer sites·  Working closely with customers on implementation of the algorithms in the Engine Control Module architecture REQUIREMENTS ·  Proven industry experience developing complex embedded real-time control systems·  Bachelor’s Degree ·  Ability to understand and apply models and simulation of control algorithms (Demonstrated experience with Matlab Simulink)·  Experience in the application of control laws and theory as applied to embedded controls.·  Experience with the basic functions and architecture of Microprocessors and analog/digital circuits.  A very competitive salary, benefit and “executive class” relocation package will be available.  TO APPLY  Attach your word document resume to an email addressed esearch@mchsi.com .  Include a daytime contact number for immediate response.   PROJECT DESIGN ENGINEER  The Project Design Engineer will work with an advanced engine design group with focused on detailed engine component design to major new engine program conceptualization and project leadership. RESPONSIBILITES ·  Training and development tailored is provided to meet every expectation of cutting edge highly profitable engine business as new markets and applications are developed. ·  Will engage first hand at customer locations throughout the world and communicate through digital and voice technologies with global design teams across US, UK, India and China. ·  Manufacturing process knowledge an advantage as well as computational intellect and ability to demonstrate use of tolerance variation analysis and geometric tolerance.·  Full virtual engine models are used to direct change and its effects on assembly, manufacture and installation and coordinate the virtual design space with other world wide Project Designers.  Analysis of stresses and vibration use these same models to measure and visualize margins of failure during selection of concepts and materials.·  Support from other highly technical groups is vital and these include laboratory testing and validation of analysis on components, mechanical real engine testing to extreme conditions and development of maximum performance characteristics of on engine components during testing. ' Present results and recommended actions to the internal and external customers. Experimental: ' Develop and implement effective test plans REQUIREMENTS 1.  B.S, M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mechanics, with specialization in structural analysis. Industrial experience in structural analysis is a big plus.2.  FE analysis knowledge and minimum 2 year ANSYS experience. The focus will be on development of standard practices for OBD emission threshold and system monitors for a specific Manufacturer Program for 2008 and beyond.  RESPONSIBILITIES 1.  Peform gap analysis for new European, CARB and EPA OBD regulations.2.  Work with subsystem and engine development groups to clarify requirements.3.  Coordinate across project teams to develop common approaches.4.  Assist in documentation of requirements in a requirement management tool.5.  Coordinate development of on board diagnostic algorithms.6.  Work with PPT, Advanced Engineering and functional development groups to develop diagnostic concepts. 7.  Lead selection of common diagnostic algorithm design approaches.8.  Develop algorithm documentation approaches and formats.  Investigate methods to reduce reliance on engine testing during development through use of simulation. 9. Develop calibration development procedures using Six Sigma principles including DOE. 10.  Lead cross-functional reviews of the algorithms and procedures.   REQUIREMENTS  BS in electrical or mechanical engineering, MS/PhD desired. OBD Engineering experience MATLAB/SIMULINK algorithm development. This includes both automotive and industrial products.
