Director of Continuous Improvement/MBS

We are currently seeking qualified and talented individuals to fill our Director of Continuous Improvement / MBS (Meridian Business Systems) position located at our San Antonio, Texas based office.  Position reports to our Executive V.P. and C.O.O.  Candidates must be excellent hands on leaders who are able to travel to other Meridian locations on a regular basis.

The Director of MBS will be responsible for the following functions, including (but not limited to):

§ Create and standardize an effective MBS/Lean plan across all plant locations

§ Plan company wide Kaizen events and work with plant management to identify and address opportunities

§ Develop standardized training modules to include 5S, Standardized Work, 5 Why Problem Solving, Lean Material Systems, Level Production/Heijunka

§ Coach and mentor Continuous Improvement leaders at all plant locations

§ Develop measurement systems to track waste reduction, cost savings with regular reviews 

§ Monitor MBS Score Cards relating to MBS / CI activity at all locations

Candidates should have the following qualifications and/or experience:

§ Five years of senior level continuous improvement / lean manufacturing expertise in a manufacturing environment

§ Working knowledge of the Toyota Production System (TPS) Principles

§ Computer skills including Word and Excel

§ Working knowledge of identifying model lines, implementation strategies and standardized work

§ Bi-lingual communication (English - Spanish) is a plus

§ Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills.
