Modis is one of the world’s largest providers of information technology staffing services and solutions.  Currently we have more than 6,000 information technology professionals on assignment worldwide.  We serve more than 1,500 clients throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.Contract to Hire (Expect 3-6 month conversion to Permanent) Location -  290 & Hollister, 77040Demonstrate a working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows XP; Microsoft Office Application Set; Internet Explorer Broadband, VPN and dial-up access; Wireless Technology (including broadband cards) Desktop and laptop hardware Handheld Devices, including Blackberries; Desktop Enterprise protection tools, such as Webroot SpySweeper and Symantec Anti-Virus etc.  Desktop Systems management tools, including, but not limited to: Altiris and Wise or SMS or LanDesk. Enterprise ticketing system (Altiris a plus)  Additional Details:Experience with any of the following Management tools, such as Altiris, SMS, LANDesk or  other related Management toolsSoftware distribution, remote control, Active directory and GPO experience helpful Call tracking system – Heat, Remedy or Peregrine or other related ticketing system Qualifications include: · A Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience is desired but not  required or (requisite combination of education and work experience) · Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills · Detail oriented with good planning and organizational skills.Must be available for some weekend work and able to rotate on-call responsibilitiesIf you are interested in this position, please send your word formatted resume to  kenneth.hays@modisit.com Job Reference Code: Desktop II Company: Modis, Inc.
