American Showa, Inc., a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive and motorcycle industries, has an immediate opening for a Design Engineer in our Suspension Group within our R & D Department in Sunbury, OH.

 

Job Responsibilities would include:

 Performing engineering studies as part of the Design Validation process for Suspension ProductsConducting analysis & design improvements to current and new productsRoot Cause Analysis of past design issues to improve current and future design activitiesGuest engineering activity for Customer driven eventsUsing CATIA v5 to create 3D Designs and issuing 2D Drawings for current and new products

 

The ideal candidate will possess:Exceptional interpersonal skills conducive to working with both internal organizational departments and directly with Automotive CustomersThe ability to successfully manage several projects at once and deliver results in a fast paced environmentExperience with 3D Modeling (CATIA v5 is preferred)Experience in a functional engineering role contributing to the performance and optimization of design and developmentMicrosoft Office experienceA BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Technical Degree is required

 

Beneficial Candidate Attributes:

 Knowledge of Japanese Transplant Development Cycles (Honda experience a plus)Suspension or Chassis Design knowledgeCATIA v4 experienceHonda design experience
