Customer Quality Engineer

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Ann Arbor, MI has an opening for a CUSTOMER QUALITY ENGINEER. Primary Function:Provide customer quality support and expertise to the Eaton production plant(s). Act as the primary quality point of contact for assigned North American Fuel Emissions Safety Controls (FESC) customers.Specific Functions: - Customers 24 hour quality point of contact for immediate problem resolution- Support and attend customer Production Trial Runs and PPAPs when requested- Investigate and eliminate causes of sporadic quality problems and follow up on corrective actions.- Visit customer locations on a proactive basis - Address and analyze customer complaints, warranty, and returns and assist the Eaton plant(s) with corrective actions.- Ensure timely closure of all 8-Ds from open customer quality issues- Support project management teams in understanding and developing the products and services based on the Voice of Customer that meets Customer Specific Requirements.- Provide critical Statistical Analysis to project management teams on product and process design as appropriate to the activity on -hand during the Advance Product Quality Planning process.- Conduct "APQP Audits" of the launch projects to ensure the activities and tasks comply to all internal and customer specific requirements, and have the "quality of deliverables" expected by Eatons PROLaunch process prior to gate review process.
