Customer Application Engineer Description: Customer Application Engineer Heavy Duty Truck Industry12 Month Contract Position Are you an Engineer with a lot of technical trucking knowledge? This position will give you the opportunity to provide technical consulting to others! Use your great communication skills to share your expertise on applications, productions and more with the Sales teams and pricing staff and dealers. To get the best understanding, you'll be performing vehicle frame, component and application analysis and then advise dealers on alternative options. You will review customer orders and order development option quotations for the right definition and coding of option requests for engineering feasibility and also recommend changes in support of LEAN processes. In addition, you will support Marketing and Technical Sales by providing customer input, helping to develop what customers really want and providing accurate information that customers understand! About Our Client:The company is known mainly for the heavy duty Class 8 diesel trucks that it produces, as well as Class 5-7 trucks. As of 2005, Our Client is the largest manufacturer of heavy duty trucks in North America, with annual earnings of over $17 billion and over 22,000 employees.This is an estimated 12 month contract position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon.
