Continuous Improvement Leader / Manufacturing Engineer

Plan, coordinate and direct the continuous improvement program through the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and Maintenance Excellence tools.
Â
Train employees in lean concepts, facilitate Kaizen activity, track and publish key metrics, maintain project tracking forms, publish monthly variance reports, perform value stream mapping activities, assist with the selection of continuous improvement students and Six Sigma black/green belt students, contribute to quarterly newsletter, develop and analyze statistical data to improve process capability, develop a consistent approach to continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

Communicate continuous improvement activity status in various staff and employee meetings. Inspire workforce to actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
Â
Conceptualize, design, and implement manufacturing process improvements to work flow, tooling, layout, work content, etc..
Â
Participate in the capital requisition process, manage capital projects, assist with facilities engineering.
Â
May function as maintenance manager during vacation period. Career path from the continuous improvement leader's position is varied and dependent upon candidate's desires.
