Starting here:Commercial Credit & Collection Specialist Atlanta, GA 30342 Job Description Reporting to the Divisional Credit Manager the Collections Specialist is responsible for reducing the past due receivables for a specific region. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing a portfolio of dealer customers (automotive dealerships) in an assigned region. They will be responsible for all credit management and collection efforts for their region. Will build strong internal relationships with outside salesforce to better engage with customers. Qualifications -Requires 2+ years of commercial (B2B) credit/collections experience-Must be flexible to work either of the following shifts: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm 9am-6pm 10am-7pm-Must have strong Excel skills (i.e. formulas, exporting features, reporting functionality)-Must be a great self-starter; ability to work effectively with little direct management-Excellent verbal & written communications skills are a must i.e. polished emails, phone etiquetteEDUCATION REQUIRED:High School diploma or equivalent required Responsibilities -Under general supervision, monitors accounts receivable aging reports for an assigned sales region. -Makes calls to customers with past due balances to inquire about payment. -Works with sales, billing and customer service personnel to resolve accounts with collection issues. -Sends copies of invoices, credit memos, statements and collection letters to customers and associates. -Exercises independent judgment in obtaining payments. -Prepares and forwards accounts to be considered for write-off to Director of Credit and Collections or Division Credit Manager for approval. -Assists with the credit investigation of new accounts -Monitors application of payments to ensure proper application. Responsible for requesting re-application when appropriate.-Recommends site restriction of delinquent accounts.
