CAT Account Manager for BOSCH REXROTH

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the Caterpillar Team North America, this position is fully responsible for the Caterpillar BCP Account. The Account Manager’s position requires the individual to manage the continued business development for our growth at Caterpillar Inc. by applying technical (hydraulics application) and commercial expertise. The respective focus will be on maintaining Existing Business and on acquiring New Business for Bosch Rexroth Hydraulic (BRH) products on current machines as well as on future machine developments at Caterpillar Inc.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Promote the sale of BRH products within the assigned customer account.

·  Develop knowledge of customer requirements by studying their operations and machines (“Think Caterpillarâ€�).

·  Coordinate and manage New Customer Projects (concept-, design-, prototype-, series-production phase) as the Project Leader along with the competent BRH product- and application-groups and the respective regional CAT Teams.

·  Advise customer of technical, logistical and commercial information through formal quotation and follow-up.

·  Develop, implement and distribute an effective forecasting structure for BRH products at the account to ensure efficient production planning at respective BRH business units.

·  Direct, investigate and coordinate customer complaints with competent BRH functions of the respective business units(managing defective material).

·  Assist respective BRH Service & Quality departments on “0-kmâ€�- and field warranty problems (ppm tracking) and establish daily reports about BRH-product-quality events.

·  Develop and maintain a trustful and reliable relationship with customer by handling business events in a professional, timely and personal manner. Represent BRH and the CAT Team in a professional manner by observing immaculate conduct and personal appearance.

·  Assume ownership in achieving 100% customer satisfaction in all business aspects.

·  Enthusiastic individual who enjoys serving the customer while striving for the successful achievement of business goals.

·  Run special project to establish 5 year capacity planning for CAT and BR globally

·  Primary contact to BR contact to CAT BCP worldwide, BRH product and application groups for assigned account and Caterpillar Key Account Quality Manager. Team oriented work within the worldwide BRH organization.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·  Open and Closed Loop Hydrostatic Drive Technology experience a plus.

·  Application knowledge in Hydraulic System Design > 5 years a plus.

·  Prior project management and sales experience is required. 

·  SAP experience a plus.

·  Team-oriented work attitude to effectively promote and direct the BRH Business Unit Representatives towards the account strategy that will benefit all BRH business units.

·   Bachelors of Science degree in an electrical, mechanical or fluid power discipline or equivalent education and/or experience in Account Management/Sales role of fluid power products.
