Also, please take the time to register online at www.spherioncareers.com and use reference # 1001144089 when prompted. Job Description:Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Machine Set-up Technician will help to support the continuous production of automotive parts by setting up machines, and performing repairs as needed to keep machines running in a timely manner.  Required Skills: Basic Skill Ability to be a team player Ability to understand and follow instruction Understanding of 5’s principles Maintain 5’s in all work areas assigned (Clean and orderly work areas) Maintain good attendance record Follow company safety guidelines and rules Flexibility with overtime & hours of work Flexibility with job duties Ability to accept other assignments as need In Training Thorough knowledge of tool setup and changes Knowledge of CNC machine center operations Thorough knowledge of use of mechanical hoists, hand tools and measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, Scales, Thread gages, Pin gages…) Ability to perform machine maintenance & repair Ability to learn production and quality procedures Ability to complete documentation as required function of assigned tasks (Tool usage report, spare parts usage report, Setup checklist…) Ability to learn operation of CMM for quality control parts check Ability to learn operation of forklift and pass forklift drivers test Ability to learn use of setup log and daily log on computer  Level 1 Ability to complete machine change over on most machines, without guidance from Process engineer or other setup personnel Thorough knowledge of all equipment and operation Thorough knowledge of repair to equipment Complete understanding of process procedures and quality procedures Support of containment Support of trouble shooting Ability to complete machine offsets and basic CNC programming Ability to act as a Shift leader during absence of Sub-leader Ability to act as team member for special project teams Aid in Kaizen improvements & implementation Use of daily log and setup log on computer Ability to use computer to generate reports as needed Ability to work along side outside vendors in the repair of equipment Level 2· Ability to complete machine change over on all machines without the guidance from process engineer or other setup personnel· High level ability to repair equipment throughout facility· Ability to mentor and/or coach personnel as needed· Ability to Identify problem causes and create counter measures and reports when needed· Thorough knowledge of use of equipment used in QC lab· Demonstrated completion  and use of all documentation as required responsibilities & duties of  Production Setup Person· Additional responsibilities as required by management if deemed necessary 3 Main Job Duties1. Change over, setup, preventive maintenance & repair of machines2. Documentation of tool & spare parts usage3.
