CNC Set-up

Multi-million dollar global company is seeking skilled CNC set-up personal for our Auburn Hills automotive machining facility. The right person would fit into our team structured organization to lead and assist a small team for one of our many production lines. Competitive salary and full benefits package included.

Individual must possess strong CNC programming and machining skills. There are two positions open on day shift for four weeks and then transferred to off shift.

Candidate would need to have a strong background in tooling and fixture set up and operation of HELLER and EX-CELL-O flexible CNC machining centers, utilizing SIEMENS 840 SINUMERIK. Person must be able to perform CNC program changes (edit/correct zero point moves), troubleshoot CNC programs, correct fixtures, make adjustments, complete set ups, run "first offs", verify tool cutting conditions, follow CMM reports to make tooling and fixture offsets, and assist Production Technicians.

In addition, the candidate must perform basic part inspections, using devices such as micrometers, calipers and other quality inspection tools.

This job requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years experience in the related field. Additional requirements include advanced blueprint reading, math skills and must be able to pass a pre-employment CNC set up test. Drug and background checks also implemented.
