CNC Field Service Engineer Position

Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools Position Description:1.  OEM CNC Machine Tool Company has openings for Field Service Engineers to travel to customer sites to service the machines. Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, electronics and controls. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installs.2.  If you are tired and bored with going to the same place and doing the same thing every day, then this position offers tremendous variety. You travel to new places and see different processes and applications every day. 3.  Position offers excellent benefits including health, dental, life, disability, 401K (4% company match), laptop computer, company credit card, tools, and cell phone.4.  It does not matter where you live as long as you are near a major airport.5.  Approximately 80% out of town travel is required. You travel by car and airplane to customer sites.  Some weekend travel is required to a maximum of 2 weekends away per month. Requirements: 1.  Experience working on CNC controlled equipment, machine tools and/or other forms of manufacturing equipment.2.  Must be willing to travel 80% 5 days a week and some weekends.3.  Experience with Fanuc CNC controls is a plus.4.  Strong electronic troubleshooting skills.5.  Strong mechanical aptitude.6.  Strong electrical aptitude.7.  Ability to read electrical schematics.8.  Ability to read mechanical drawings.9.  Experience working on hydraulics.10. Experience working on pneumatics.11. Experience troubleshooting PLC controls is a plus.12.
