Grand Rapids manufacturer seeking highly skilled, professional individual for direct hire CAD Designer position. This person will operate computer-aided design system and peripheral equipment to resize or modify designs and to generate computer models used in manufacturing. Will maintain current and accurate drawings and/or information in the database. Will create 2- and 3-D CAD product definition models and assemblies from designer discussions, sketches, existing parts, or engineering drawings. Will perform complex and difficult design tasks requiring operation and application of CAD and peripheral equipment. Will maintain technical coordination with engineering and design staff members. Will do peer reviews of CAD designer's work for quality and accuracy. Qualified candidates will have a B.A. in related field or one to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be certified to CATIA Version 5 series.
