Body Shop Worker
Job Description Manheim, the world's leading provider of used vehicle services with 145 locations in 15 countries is seeking a Parts Installer for its Utah location. The Parts Installer is responsible for ordering all part and materials for the paint and body shop.
Responsibilities * Inspect time tickets for accuracy and input data in VCF.* Apply all time tickets to correct work order to ensure billing is processed accurately.* Process all batches through Excel to show revenue and everything that is billed. Take care of any problems associated with batches and distribute bathes to appropriate departments.* Order all parts for the body and paint shop. Enter all parts ordered in VCF and update information in the VCF as parts are processed; inspect parts upon arrival; label with stock number; make sure the part is painted and/or stored; install some parts, etc.* Order all materials/supplies needed by body and paint shop. Maintain an inventory. Input materials in the monthly materials cost sheet.* Process all returned parts in a timely manner making sure finance receive appropriate paperwork.* Create work lists and update daily ? every time a work order is received for each account using the AS400.* Order and maintain tools used.* Maintain body shop computer systems: Genesis Measuring, Yada Paint (Dupont), Mitchell Estimating and Parts point programs.* Maintain copiers and printers for the mixing room, frame rack and office.* Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.* May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
Qualifications 1+ years of parts ordering experience and/or experience in the automotive/body field preferred. Familiar with Excel, Word, AS400. Excellent communication skills. Must be detail oriented with mathematics capability. Must be self-starter with willingness to learn. Attention to detail & accuracy is a must. Work well in fast paced area. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. Medium strength. Ability to lift 1-50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Valid drivers license and good driving record required. Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
