Applications Engineer - Turbochargers

 

The application engineer will be responsible for the following:

 

--Application engineering support for major North American customer

--Act as key technical link between the customer and HTT engineering organizations

--Lead new product introductions from initial customer request to production launch

--Resolve field failure and warranty issues

--Support the platform team on technical issues

--Identify new product opportunities to grow the business

Basic Qualifications:

--Minimum 2 years engineering experience with turbochargers or boosted, diesel or gasoline engines

--B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

 

Additional Qualifications:

Skills/Attributes:

--Self-starter with high customer focus and strong bias for action

--Strong team player who is able to motivate and work well with other team members

--Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with customers

--Significant technical background with in-depth knowledge of HTT Commercial Vehicle turbocharger product lines

--Ability to learn quickly and a desire to broaden skills and experience

 

Key Success Factors:

--Possess outstanding customer focus and support mindset

--Strong technical background, particularly with respect to turbocharger performance & matching skills, engine design/construction and performance characteristics

--Strong team player

--Assist in product development and production launch activities of multiple turbocharger programs

--Resolve field issues and identify root cause, implement rapid containment and permanent corrective actions

--DFSS trained and certified or rapidly become DFSS trained and complete certification as part of a DFSS team
