Products include body sealing systems, fluid handling systems, and NVH control systems. Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. employs more than 19,000 people across 80 facilities in 19 countries. We are currently seeking an Analyst, SAP – Lead (Production Release Management).
The SAP Release Management Technical Lead provides global leadership on the process, review, and approval of SAP production release packaging and change management. Reporting into the Director of Information Technology, this position will work closely with other infrastructure and development individuals/groups such as Systems Administration, Database Administration, SAP Application Developers, and Business Process Analysts. The position requires extensive knowledge and experience with the release lifecycle management, SAP Basis environment, Unix, Linux, Windows Servers, and Oracle or SQL database systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Define and Lead core processes for SAP production change management
2. Define and oversee production release planning. The Release Management Technical lead will lead the definition of an overall release model that reflects best in class change management processes for the global SAP environment.
3. Manage the day-to-day activities associated with SAP release management. Lead the release control meetings and transport definition.
4. Design and implement operating processes and procedures that will ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control objectives.
5. The Release Management Lead will assist in the definition of a performance monitoring process to proactively identify issues that may lead to system or end user performance issues.
6. Participate with the SAP Program Manager in the development of the overall SAP Program change management processes
7. Coordinate approvals of production releases with the IT Executive Management Team.
8. Travel is expected at 25% to 50%. Through 2008, extensive travel to France and Germany to do knowledge transfer of the CSA SAP Program.
Required Education and/or Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related technical degree; MBA desirable
2. Minimum 10 years experience in I.T. with at least 3-5 years of experience with SAP and release management
3. Solid team/project management, organizational skills and leadership skills
4. SAP ECC 5.0 or ECC 6.0, SAP BW 3.0 or higher, SAP Solution Manager
5. Demonstrated experience managing technically complex projects
6. Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
7. Ability to work directly with middle to senior management as well as employees throughout the organization
8. Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
9. Basis experience
10. Unix System administration knowledge
11. Oracle database administration knowledge
12. Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies
13. Experience in computer system and network security
14. Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Environments
15. Candidates should have experience with Oracle and UNIX Operating Environments.
16. Candidate should have technical leadership experience with Global SAP implementations and implementations of 1000 seats or larger
17. Strong Oral and Written Communications is required.
18. Experience with ITIL
