Vehicle/ Equipment Mechanic

The Engineering Science Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. located at Tyndall AFB, FL seeks a highly motivated individual who is qualified and capable of performing assigned duties as a Vehicle/ Equipment Mechanic. Job duties include complete automotive diagnostics and repair on several types of vehicles and equipment, maintenance shop support, regular upkeep of shop equipment and tools, and other tasks as assigned. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years prior experience in each of these areas. Past experience working with a broad range of equipment consisting of, but not limited to general purpose vehicles, cranes, backhoes, road graders, forklifts, loaders, excavators, dozers, tractor trailers, and specialized test vehicles and equipment is preferred. Salary is based on qualification and experience. A pre-employment background investigation is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibililty requirements for access to classified information. The qualified candidate must have a valid U.S. driver's license. ARA is an EOE, drug free environment. Job Requirements: 2 Years Vehicle Mechanic Experience In-depth Knowledge of Complete Automotive Diagnostics and Repair Familiarization with Vehicle Maintenance Shop Practices Capable of Working on Several Tasks with Minimal Supervision Ability to Lift, Bend, Squat, and Stand for Long Periods of Time Valid U.S. Driver's License Job Code : OPS-01 Division/Department : ARA-Engineering Science Division Travel Required : 0-10%
