Requirements

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has opportunities for bright, talented college graduates to join its Information Technology Development Program. Goodyear also has opportunities for talented students still working on their degree to participate in our Information Technology Internship Program.

Company Description
Goodyear is North America's largest tire company, manufacturing and marketing tires for most applications. Goodyear is one of the world's largest operator of commercial truck service and tire retreading centers. In addition, it operates about 1,800 tire and auto service center outlets. Global Information Technology Description
The Global Information Technology organization works closely with all other functional areas of the business including Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Research and Development, and Retail to support Goodyear's activities. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
* Application development
* Enterprise Data Warehouse and other database systems
* Enterprise Resource Planning systems
* IT infrastructure
* Manufacturing operations
* Retail point-of-sales solutions
* Risk Management
* Website operations

IT Development Program
College graduates entering the Information Technology Development Program will typically be placed on three or more 6 to 12 month rotational assignments in the areas of Corporate and / or Business Unit IT. Potential assignments may involve application development, data warehousing, e-commerce, web operations, telecommunications, hardware / software support or system implementation. Rotational assignments vary according to the interest and skills of the individual. Generally, after about 18 to 24 months on the program, placement is made into a position that achieves the best fit between the associate's goals and the current business needs.

IT Intern Program
Goodyear offers full-time, paid summer internships to quailed MIS and CIS students in the areas of Corporate or North American Tire. Experiences will include challenging hands-on opportunities and networking with professionals in your field. Students selected for our Internship Program will have opportunities to work in the same areas as college grads and internship assignments are available for one or more semesters.

Education and Qualifications
Qualified candidates:
* Successful candidates should have at least a 3.0 GPA
* College grads: Have a B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or Computer Engineering.
Intern candidates: Should be actively pursuing a degree in the same field(s) or an MBA.
* Seek a wide range of opportunities for growth and development

* Excel in project work and like the sense of accomplishment that accompanies getting things done"
* Prefer a culture of open communications and want to contribute
* Must be fast learners who are able to keep up with the rapidly changing technological field

* Are able to self-manage
* Have good verbal and written communication skills
