The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has opportunities for bright, talented college graduates to join its Finance Development Program. Goodyear also has opportunities for talented students still working on their degree to participate in our Finance Internship Program.

Finance Development Program
The vision of Goodyear Finance Development Program is to provide increased assurance to our key stakeholders (including shareholders, the board of directors, the audit committee, and executive management), to add value to the organization, and to develop future finance and business leaders at a world-class level. We will achieve this vision through our efforts in monitoring internal controls over financial reporting and disclosures, supporting Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and working with management to enhance the Company's control environment. We are seeking individuals with solid finance and accounting knowledge base, a strong work ethic, and team focus to join our team.
College graduates entering the Finance Development Program will typically be placed on three or more 6 to 12 month developmental assignments in areas such as Corporate Accounting and Reporting, Treasury, Auditing, etc. Developmental assignments vary according to the mutual interests and skills of the individual along with the needs of the business.

Finance Intern Program
Goodyear offers full-time, paid summer internships to qualified Finance and Accounting students in the areas of Corporate or North American Tire. Experiences will include challenging hands-on opportunities and networking with professionals in your field.

Key Elements of the Finance Development Program Include

* Permanent job placement after successful rotation completion
Generally, between 18 to 24 months, placement is made into a position that best fits between the associate's short and long term goals and current business needs.

Responsibilities of the New Associate will Include
* Must be able to provide a high level of performance immediately. Level of assignments will be based upon the level of delivery.
* Participate in internal projects and initiatives that will add value to the Company.
* Provide a consistently high level of internal & external customer service.
* Standardized system of measuring the level of performance and contribution of the associate to the position, to the team, and to the organization.

Education and Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (Interns pursuing Accounting or Finance degree)
* Successful candidates should have at least a 3.0 GPA
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong analytical and data management skills
* High leadership and growth potential
* Ability to thrive in a team environment
* Interpersonal skills
* Value and appreciate diversity and may be interested in global experiences

Other Information
* Anticipated travel requirement depending upon the position.
* Must maintain confidentiality and strict adherence to Company policies
* Capable of interacting with all organization levels, ranging from entry-level Associates to Goodyear's Senior Leadership Management team.
* Candidates should have an interest actively pursuing CPA /CIA certification or fulfillment of the CPE requirements for certain areas.
