Job Description: This position handles the processing of inventory invoices and credits for the assigned business segments and vendors. Must work closely with the Purchasing Department, warehouse personnel, General Accounting, Accounts Payable and the Product Payables Supervisor to ensure that purchase transactions are recorded correctly, and payments are made timely. The Product Payables Associate will produce system reporting in the appropriate financial systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Will be required to match invoices and correctly record inventory related transactions in accounts payable. This will include recording entries and reconciliation to ensure that accounts are correctly stated. In addition, may be required to handle special projects from time to time.

Requirements: Must Have SAP Experience to Be Considered! Process invoices, credit memos, and debit adjustments for product purchases, including accrual of rebates income associated with inventory purchase. Record differences between invoice cost and purchasing cost to maintain a proper accounting record. Research and communicate differences to team leads, supervisor, or purchasing in order to gain approval and process the correct amounts through account payable. Provide accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions, including the input of entries. Communicate with vendors to obtain or release information on inventory transactions. Follow all Product Payables processes and procedures regarding costing differences and quantity differences. Reconcile assigned vendor statements. Validate vendor payment terms are accurate in order to ensure timely payment and maximize discounts. Report any discrepancies to supervisor. Answer questions from field and support personnel regarding financial transactions as appropriate. Prepare and enter Journal Entries as necessary to accurately record company transactions. Participate in special projects as assigned from time to time.
