About the opportunity: Currently, we are recruiting for a Parts Manager for our West Palm Beach Service Center. This position is responsible for the efficient management of the Parts Department and providing the highest level of service to the customer while operating within the guidelines of corporate policy. The Parts Manager directs the work and personnel in the procurement, receiving, stocking, disbursement, costing, and inventory of parts and supplies. Core Responsibilities: Maintains a work schedule and work flow to realize maximum production and efficiency for the customer and the Company. Directly supervises all Parts employees in inventory control, customer billing, paper flow, shipping, receiving, stocking and housekeeping. Coordinates, directs and ensures that levels of parts, supplies, equipment and tools are efficiently maintained. Coordinates and directs disbursement of parts and supplies to technicians and customers. Responsible for maintaining the Parts Library and retrieving information (from books, electronic catalog and other computerized systems) on all models of Cummins engines and accessories, Onan generators and Fleetguard products. Provides well-defined procedures for cash, check and credit card sales, petty cash, daily bank deposits, stock orders, emergency orders, inbound/outbound material shipments. Conducts periodic inventory physical check versus computer balance. Processes purchase orders and counter billings (invoices). Requirements Ability to make independent decisions with little or no supervision. Competent knowledge of business software systems, such as Microsoft Office suite and Lotus Notes. Good verbal communications skills and telephone etiquette. Detail oriented; attention to detail and follow through. Ability to establish and maintain a positive, productive work environment for assigned employees through fair and consistent administration of personnel policies and procedures, ensuring efficient working habits and compliance with Company objectives and applicable government regulations. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent GED. Minimum five years experience in automotive or truck services with working knowledge of automotive or truck parts applications. Previous experience in inventory control, data entry, procurement and disbursement, and supervisory experience essential.
