Primary Purpose of the Position:
As a key member of the Goodyear Retail Leadership and the North American Tire (NAT) Supply Chain teams, the associate will be responsible for developing the supply chain strategy for a $1.0B, 750 unit retail organization. Responsible for aligning the supply chain strategy, organizational capability to achieve the business goals established by the Retail Leadership Team. This key position will drive the Retail transportation and warehousing strategy to support the business objectives. The position will work closely with the retail management team and field operations to manage the demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, procurement and customer service to achieve the cost and inventory objectives. This is done by facilitating Class A Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Builds the organization and strategy to manage sales forecasting, demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, procurement and customer service to achieve the cost and inventory objectives.
* Facilitates the S&OP process working cooperatively across functions within the Retail group as well as across Corporate Supply Chain functions. Has ownership of the Retail SOP process in terms of basic processes, systems and development of a Class A process. Ensures that supply and demand are balanced.
* Responsible for the development of systems to support the automatic replenishment strategy.
* Manages the tradeoff of inventory, customer service and logistics costs and establishes the appropriate processes to set objectives and monitor performance.
* Responsible for the development of the store replenishment processes and supply requirements consistent with the agreements in the S&OP process and in support of customer service objectives.
* Provides the leadership for significant transformational changes that must be made in the supply chain to achieve the organizational objective of an advantaged supply chain. Among the changes will be leading the change to a lean" distribution and planning environment and integrating the Retail go to market" model into the logistics and distribution strategy.
* Develops a high performance work approach and process, blending interior and exterior talent.

Qualifications:
Required-
* Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, economics, finance or related field.
* 5-10 years experience in logistics, transportation management, warehouse management, customer service, sales forecasting, demand planning, inventory management and operations planning.
* Retail multi-unit experience in Supply Chain and Logistics function.
* Experienced in working in a matrixed organization of businesses and functions.
* Experienced in leading supply chain transformation projects across organizational boundaries.
* Practical experience in leading a lean" implementation in demand and supply planning.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Able to interface with all levels of the company.
* Demonstrated ability in leading the S&OP process effectively.

Preferred-
* Master's Degree in supply chain, economics, finance or related field.
* APICS or equivalent certification a plus.
