Department Description:
The Shared Services Finance Business Team is responsible for the implementation and support of multiple business intelligence initiatives that focus on finance global data standardization, collection and information analysis.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The IT Department Manager - Hyperion applies technical and application expertise in the analysis, design, development and implementation of Hyperion Essbase and Planning Applications. The selected individual will lead the project from IT standpoint, interfacing and working closely with the Finance team.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Partner with business owners to research and document Hyperion business intelligence and planning
requirements.
* Responsible for development and implementation of corporate standards and best practices for Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications.
* Key individual responsible for the overall architectural design of Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications.
* Performance Tuning of Hyperion applications.
* Design, develop, and implement Hyperion Essbase and Planning application solutions to satisfy
business intelligence requirements.
* Provide global IT support for existing Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications.
* Ability to develop system design and requirements documentation for multiple projects. Able to identify functionality gaps or needed process changes to obtain project goals.
* Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team of 3 - 5 individual contributors.
* Complete proof of concept for projects, as well as developing, testing and rolling out new applications.
* Ability to leverage the existing IT landscape (i.e. SAP) to maximize effectiveness of the Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications
* Lead the establishment of tactical plans for the organization. Work with executive management to establish and maintain long term strategic plans including technology and lines of business
* Develop and maintain an effective plan to attract, develop and retain top talent
* Perform managerial activities such as hiring decisions, execution of performance management process and merit budget allocations, associate development, business planning and business case development, department staffing, budgeting, recognition plans, communicate and enforce policies and procedures, customer and associate relations.
* Take the lead role in projecting the effects of attrition, availability of resources, skill utilization, and productivity changes to create and maintain a plan for optimal resource leveling.
* Provide direction for all application development and/or infrastructure architecture within the area of responsibility
* Provide vision, problem anticipation & problem solving at enterprise level related to IT operations responsibility.

Qualifications:
Required-

* Bachelor's or higher level degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
* 15 or more years of successful technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies.( 8 or more of those years should include exposure to a broad range of business planning, systems analysis, and application development using new and emerging technologies.)
* Minimum 10 years experience with Hyperion Planning and/or Hyperion Essbase.
* Minimum of 5 years experience and in-depth knowledge creating OLAP cubes using Hyperion Essbase.
* Experience with Hyperion Application Link (HAL).
* Experience with calculation script and business rule development.
* Experience with web form development.
* Experience with Hyperion reports / analyzer.
* Have successfully developed and implemented new technology
* Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management

Preferred-
* Experience with security set up
* Experience implementing Hyperion Planning applications, creating and maintaining web analysis, and developing business rules (HBR).
* Advanced degree in Business/Management or Technology is preferred.
