Heavy Crane Service Technician

Job Duties

Perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and in-service functions primarily on Manitowoc and Grove cranes.

 

Technical Job Requirements

The ideal individual will be well versed in the diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy crane systems to include electronics, hydraulics, booms, electrical systems, carriers, winches, and undercarriages. Formal training in general or specific products in these areas is required. A technical college degree or a structured on the job training program must have been successfully completed.

 

Performance standards

Satisfactory performance will be indicated by the following criteria:

Service orders being completed within the expected time frame

Minimal rework on jobs performed

Application of a high percentage of available work hours (>75%)

Safe work habits as indicated by no lost time accidents

Successful completion of all enrolled training courses

Demonstrated mastery of all crane systems
