We are currently seeking a Collector for Charlotte area locations.   Position Summary:  Collectors provide an initial point of contact for customers who are delinquent or who are facing a personal situation resulting in delinquency. Collectors are responsible for providing an excellent level of customer service and building a good relationship with their customers. While working with other DriveTime team members (including but not limited to the Loan Manager, Sales Manager, General Manager and Operations Call Center) they will ensure the highest possible current account percentages are maintained and later stage delinquencies are controlled or brought current wherever possible.    Essential Responsibilities: · Provide excellent customer service to customers via phone and face-to-face Contact or attempt contact with customers at all stages of delinquency (1-59 days past due) Negotiate payment arrangements with customers, such as “Promises To Pay” (PTP), electronic check payments or money orders as requested by the customer Help customers who attempt to voluntarily surrender their vehicle to keep their vehicle while maintaining loan payment arrangements Maintain positive working relationships with other DriveTime employees Meet or exceed production goals (including but not limited to call volume, dollars collected and completion of meet and greets) on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Assist in training or developing the skills of other Loan Representatives as requested by the Loan Manager   In return for your dedication and commitment, we offer competitive salary, great bonus opportunity and an excellent benefit package: · Excellent Medical, Dental & Vision Plans · Great training and tuition reimbursement · A culture of opportunity and promotion from within · Sunday’s off (we’re closed to give our employees valued time with friends and family) · Competitive Pay · 401K Plan with company contribution · Profit sharing And More! Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent At least 3-years collections experience Must be self-motivated with strong decision making and problem solving abilities Professional and persuasive communication and negotiation skills Skilled with PC and Microsoft Operating Systems software, a variety of telephone equipment, including headset or handset Required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends Call center experience Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.   If you have the entrepreneurial spirit, welcome a challenge, have high personal standards of achievement, and are extremely motivated, we have endless opportunities for you to succeed.
